Hanseberg Investments Zambia Ltd operates an open pit copper ore mine in Lusaka province. The processed copper ore is sold locally. The site is actually mining 2000 tons per month.

Zambia is one of the largest copper producers in Africa as the main copper mining region in Zambia is the Copperbelt Province. The Copperbelt region stretches from Northern Zambia to Southern Democratic Republic of Congo.

The mining sector is an important industry to Zambian economy and accounted to three – quarters of Zambia’s export revenue.
